Long abstract

This handbook provides information for assessment teams and examined countries that are participating in an AML/CFT mutual evaluation carried out by the FATF or an FSRB or that are taking part in an IMF/World Bank assessment. It provides both procedural information and detailed instructions for performing a proper and fair evaluation/assessment. The handbook contains information on the key documents to be used by assessors and examined countries; composition of evaluation/assessment teams; assignment of primary responsibilities for the evaluation/assessment; the evaluation / assessment process; instructions for completing the MEQ; instructions for the on-site visit; and instructions for preparation of the MER.
