Sir James Sassoon's speech to the CFT Seminar - Singapore

The FATF President, Sir James Sassoon, delivered the keynote address at a Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) Seminar on 12 February 2008 at the Suntec Convention Centre in Singapore.

This seminar was jointly organised by: the International Centre for Political Violence and Terrorism Research, S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore; the Commercial Affairs Department, Ministry of Home Affairs, Singapore; and the Association of Banks in Singapore.

The seminar focuses on the importance of CFT and the key roles played by various stakeholders in the public and private sectors in Singapore’s efforts to combat the financing of terrorism.  The seminar also witnessed the inauguration of the Consortium for Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CCFT).
