APG, FATF President, Bjorn S. Aamo

FATF President Bjorn S. Aamo addresses the 15th Annual APG Meeting in Brisbane, Australia. He outlines the priorities as well as challenges that lie ahead of the FATF and its partners at the beginning of the new FATF mandate under the Norwegian Presidency.

The FATF presented the revised FATF Recommendations to the Eurasian Group (EAG) Consultative Forum with the Private Sector. The EAG Plenary welcomed three new observers and discussed progress made by Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan during the Plenary and Working Group meetings in Moscow from 22-25 May 2012.

CFATF, Curaçao

Among other outcomes, the assessment of the implementation of the FATF Recommendations in Curaçao was adopted during the meetings of the Caribbean Financial Action Task Force (CFATF) which took place in San Salvador, El Salvador on 21 – 25 May 2012.

Dominican Republic, CFATF, MER, Mutual Evaluation,

The follow-up reports, presented at the CFATF Plenary meetings, provide an analysis of the progress made by the Dominican Republic to correct the deficiencies identified in the Mutual Evaluation Report (MER) which was adopted by the CFATF Council of Ministers in October 2006.

The FATF Secretariat participated in the Financial Crime Symposium hosted by the Law Society of England and Wales on 15 May 2012 in London, United Kingdom.
