Paris, 24 June 2020 – The third and final Plenary meeting under the Chinese Presidency of Xiangmin Liu will take place today. As a result of travel restrictions and confinement measures caused by Covid-19, the FATF Plenary will meet virtually. At this challenging and unprecedented time, when millions of people around the world continue to struggle with the impact of the virus, the FATF is continuing its important work to stop money laundering and terrorist financing. The Plenary agenda reflects the FATF’s decision in April this year, to extend its assessment and follow-up process deadlines.
The FATF will publish the Money Laundering from the Illegal Wildlife Trade report on its website on 25 June, and the remaining outcomes from this meeting on 30 June.
