Cuba's progress in strengthening measures to tackle money laundering and terrorist financing

Cuba continues to make significant progress in addressing the Technical Compliance deficiencies identified in its 2015 MER and ensuing 2017 FUR.

The country has been has been re-rated as follows:

• Recommendation 28 (Partially Compliant to Compliant)
• Recommendation 31 (Partially Compliant to Compliant)
• Recommendation 35 (Partially Compliant to Largely Compliant)

• Recommendation 15 (Compliant to Partially Compliant)

Cuba will continue in the regular follow-up process and will continue to report to GAFILAT on the progress made to strengthen its implementation of AML/CFT measures.
