In light of the Isle of Man’s progress in strengthening its framework to tackle money laundering and terrorist financing since the adoption of its Mutual Evaluation report in December 2016 and its 2018 Follow-Up Report, MONEYVAL has re-rated the jurisdiction on 4 of the 40 Recommendations of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).

Isle of Man has been making important progress and has been re-rated on the following four recommendations:

  • Recommendation 11 from LC to C
  • Recommendation 12 from LC to C
  • Recommendation 17 from LC to C
  • Recommendation 25 from PC to C

The country will continue in the enhanced follow-up process and will continue to report to MONEYVAL on the progress made to strengthen its implementation of AML/CFT measures.
