FATF Week - February 2024

The fifth Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Plenary under the two-year Singapore Presidency of T. Raja Kumar will take place in Paris on 21-23 February and will conclude FATF Week which starts on 19 February. 

Delegates representing more than 200 members of the Global Network and observer organisations, including the International Monetary Fund, the United Nations, the World Bank, INTERPOL and the Egmont Group of Financial Intelligence Units, will participate in the Working Group and Plenary meetings in Paris during FATF Week.

Delegates will discuss key issues including the impact of the rapid development of cross-border payment technologies and guidance to help countries with the risk-based implementation of Recommendation 25 related to the beneficial ownership and transparency of legal arrangements. Delegates will also discuss the progress made by some jurisdictions identified as presenting a risk to the global financial system.

A summary of the Plenary’s decisions will be published on the FATF website following the conclusion of the meeting. 

Press conference

On Friday 23 February, the FATF President will hold a press conference to announce the outcomes of the Plenary. The press conference is scheduled for 16:30 CET and will take place at the OECD Building in Paris.
