Today, FATF President T. Raja Kumar met with the Chairs and Executive Secretaries of the nine FATF-Style Regional Bodies (FSRBs) at the FATF-FSRB Annual High-Level Meeting. 

Participants discussed a range of issues that impact global implementation of the FATF Standards, including the preparations for the new round of the Mutual Evaluations and progress in the implementation of the Strategic Vision for the Global Network, which members agreed on in March 2022.  The discussions at this annual meeting, along with other platforms of communication between the FATF and the FSRBs, will enhance inclusiveness and cohesiveness of the Global Network.

The fight against money laundering and the financing of terrorism and proliferation requires a global response. Strengthening the FATF Global Network and the ties between the FATF and the FSRBs is a strategic priority for the FATF.  As part of the Singapore FATF Presidency Priorities, the FATF has deepened engagement with FSRBs and formalised a substantive annual meeting with them.  Next, FATF will update the Universal Procedures for mutual evaluations and follow-up for the new round.
