FATF Ministerial Meeting

On 21 April, Ministers of the Financial Action Task Force will meet to discuss the role of the FATF in taking action against money laundering, terrorist and proliferation financing, crimes that impact our society and threaten global security.

At this special biennial meeting, FATF ministers and high-level officials from FATF’s 37 member countries and 2 regional organisations will also agree on the FATF’s future strategic direction.

FATF’s recent report on the State of Effectiveness and Compliance with the FATF Standards highlights that despite significant progress, countries still face challenges in taking effective action to stop money laundering and terrorist financing. At this meeting, Ministers will discuss their commitment to effectively tackle these crimes.
