Technical Analysis of FATF Recommendations: Rerating of Costa Rica - 2017

In 2015 GAFILAT assessed the effectiveness of its member Costa Rica’s measures to tackle money laundering and terrorist financing, and their compliance with the FATF Recommendations.  

This second follow-up report report looks at the actions Costa Rica has undertaken since its 2015 assessment and the 2016 follow-up report to address the weaknesses identified in the mutual evaluation report and to meet the requirements of FATF Recommendations that have changed since their 2015 mutual evaluation.

To reflect the actions they have taken, Costa Rica’s technical compliance on Recommendations 6-8 and 24-25 have been re-rated.
