Ethiopia's progress in strengthening measures to tackle money laundering and terrorist financing

Ethiopia has been making important progress  in relation to addressing the technical compliance deficiencies identified in its 2015 Mutual Evaluation and has been re-rated on six Recommendations:

• Recommendation 1 from Non Compliant to Compliant
• Recommendation 6 from Non Compliant to Largely Compliant
• Recommendation 14 from Partially Compliant to Compliant
• Recommendation 19 from Partially Compliant to Largely Compliant
• Recommendation 28 from Partially Compliant to Largely Compliant
• Recommendation 33 from Partially Compliant to Largely Compliant

Ethiopia will remain in enhanced follow-up and will continue to report bi-annually to ESSAMLG on its progress in improving and implementing its AML/CFT measures.
