Depuis l'évaluation de 2018 des mesures prises par le Mexique pour lutter contre le blanchiment de capitaux et le financement du terrorisme, le pays a pris un certain nombre de mesures pour renforcer son cadre.

Le Mexique s'est engagé dans un processus de suivi renforcé suite à l'adoption de son évaluation mutuelle en 2018 . Conformément aux procédures du GAFI pour les évaluations mutuelles, le pays a communiqué au GAFI les mesures qu'il a prises depuis leur évaluation mutuelle et leurs rapports de suivi ultérieurs. 

Aujourd'hui, le Mexique est conforme sur 10 des 40 Recommandations et largement conforme sur 24 d'entre elles. Il reste partiellement conforme sur 5 Recommandations, et non conforme sur 1 Recommandation.

Ratings that reflect the extent to which a country's measures are effective. The assessment is conducted on the basis of 11 immediate outcomes, which represent key goals that an effective AML/CFT system should achieve.

    Mutual Evaluation of Mexico: 7th Follow-up Report Mexico has made significant progress in addressing the deficiencies in its anti-money laundering / countering the financing of terrorism regime. As result of this progress, Mexico has been removed from the regular follow-up process.
